Network Bridges

A network bridge is a device or software that connects multiple networks together, allowing them to communicate and share resources. It operates at the data link layer of the network protocol stack and functions as a forwarder, transferring data packets between different network segments. A bridge can be physical, such as a Ethernet bridge that connects two or more local area networks (LANs), or virtual, such as a software bridge that connects virtual machines in a virtualized network environment.
