Printers ribbons are consumable items used in dot matrix printers and some thermal transfer printers. They are typically made of a spool of plastic or fabric ribbon that is coated with ink or wax. The ribbon is threaded through the printer mechanism and is used to transfer ink or wax onto the paper, creating text or images.
