Wireless Routers

Wireless routers are devices that allow multiple devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers, to connect to the internet wirelessly. They act as a central hub for internet connectivity in a home or office, providing a wireless signal that devices can connect to.

Wireless routers typically have a built-in modem that connects to the internet service provider's network. They also have antennas that transmit and receive wireless signals, allowing devices within range to connect to the internet.

Most wireless routers use the Wi-Fi standard, which allows devices to connect wirelessly over a specific frequency band, such as 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. The router creates a local area network (LAN) that devices can join to access the internet and share data with other devices on the network.

Wireless routers often have multiple Ethernet ports that allow wired devices to connect to the network as well. They may also have additional features such as guest network access, parental controls, and USB ports for connecting external storage devices or printers.

When choosing a wireless router, factors to consider include the speed and range of the wireless signal, the number of devices it can support simultaneously, and the security features it provides.
