SSD stands for Solid State Drive, which is a type of storage device that uses flash memory to store data. Unlike traditional hard disk drives (HDD) that use spinning disks to read and write data, SSDs have no moving parts and are therefore faster, more reliable, and less prone to mechanical failures.
